I ordered the green curry. It was absolutely amazing. The chicken was tender, the eggplant was cooked perfectly and the sauce was silky smooth. The best curry I've ever had, hands down. For dessert I wanted the fried banana with black sweet rice. It's not on the menu together but they allowed it. I loved it. It wasn't very crowded, but the service was good! Water glasses never got below half, and the food came out quickly. When I go back to Fort Collins, I will definitely be back.

Not sure how the prices online can be different than when we picked up, but somehow our dinner for two for take out turned into over $40 really quickly! First, the won ton soup was actually pretty tasty even if their to go container for this is a coffee cup with a lid which actually turned out to be kind of helpful since we could drink up the broth once we found all of the magical won tons in there! We also got their yellow curry which was a little watery for my tastes consistency wise, but the curry flavor itself was really flavorful! So I really wish it had been a little thicker! And we got it with shrimp and there really wasn't much shrimp in there either, but again at least the curry flavor was there! The Pad Se-Ew rounded out our meal with a side of coconut milk rice which I have to say will be the way I make my rice for now on, since that coconut flavor in the rice was really awesome! The noodles however again were just so so, but it was a pretty big portion so we had leftovers which is always a winner in my book. So all in all, they had our order ready on time, it was a little pricier than we thought it would be, and in general the flavors were okay. But at least it got us full after our day of brewery tours!

Good lawd!!! I had this delivered to my semi, while my boyfriend I where loading cars. They were super fast and amazing! I had the Panang (red curry), I ordered mild because of what a previous yelper had said and I had them bring an extra side of medium in case it wasn't spicy enough. I am in love!! The chicken was so tender and juicy. The curry was the best I have had in a long time. I ordered the Thoong tong and they where tastey, but I am such a spicy eater that the sweet chili sauces was a little too sweet. Over all this is a great place maybe next time I will be able to eat there and not on the run

Have to agree with others that this is quite good Thai delivery, if more expensive than I have paid in other cities. I ordered with them through Yelp when I was moving in, and it came quickly, hot, tasty, with a pleasant delivery person. I didn't have to cook! Lots of veggie options and a yummy papaya salad were the high points for me. So I paid for the convenience, but the food was delicious and hit the spot, the portions were large enough for hungry box carriers and there were even some leftovers, and the vegetarians weren't blindsided by unmentioned fish sauce or oyster sauce in the dishes. Would order from them again when the budget or occasion allowed.

My favorite thai restaurant in all of Fort Collins! Their curries are so delicious! I especially love how their meat is sliced thinly and is super tender. Because I'm small, one dish can make several meals for me. What a great deal! My boyfriend gets their pineapple curry and I get their yellow curry. Both highly recommended.

I was pleasantly surprised that the food is good. I ordered grilled pork and my friend ordered a stir fry. The presentation for my grilled pork was very cute. The sticky rice was placed in this tiny bamboo container. Everything was very tasty.

So far the best Thai place I've had up in Fort Collins. It is a bit pricey, but I think it's worth what you pay. Service has always been great and the atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Food comes out fast and the quality of the food is there. I've tried about 4-5 of their noodle dishes and you can't go wrong with any of them. I tried my friend's curry and that was absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back more often as I need to try more dishes on the menu.

On our particular visit for lunch, the place was empty, but will attribute that to the construction that's currently occurring in front of the restaurant. Nonetheless (and despite the stifling heat inside that day), we forged ahead for lunch, since Thai food was definitely on our crave list. Ordered the Tom Kha (about $8 for the bowl) with tofu...after all, who doesn't love a giant bowl of flavored coconut milk?! The soup did not have the complexity of flavors I'm used to, so probs would not recommend this particular dish. My vegetarian dining companion had a craving for eggplant. While they didn't have any eggplant-specific dishes on the menu, they were SUPER accommodating and whipped up a little something especially for him which he was quite please with. I have my fav Thai place in FTC, so admit that my opinion may be a bit skewed.

Ok... Worst experience or should I say most awkward experience. It was a late lunch and only three people in the restaurant. My waiter (the only waiter) was extremely stressed out (and boy could you feel it!) the owner was apparently calling and chewing the waiter out during business hours. So unprofessional! I was craving Cafe de Bangkok but unfortunately they are closed on a Monday so looked for the next best thing.... WRONG! The food was a 2 star rating in my opinion. Will not go back

For appetizer, I had the Tom Kha coconut soup with chicken and for the main course I had the Beef Pad See Ew. Both tasted great and came out quickly. The waitress was very pleasant and the environment was serene. I would say this is one of the better Thai restaurants in Fort Collins, but not the best in Colorado. The prices are on the higher side for what you get. I mean for noodles and beef it was about $12 and for a small bowl of coconut soup it was about $5, and that did not come with rice. For this type of food I would expect to pay less than $10 for the main course. However, I would come back because there are not many Thai restaurants around that can match their flavor and authenticity. Overall service was great and food was wonderful but I would save eating here for special occasions or after pay day.

They have excellent soups and Thai tea. Their Larb with chicken is lite, refreshing and perfectly spiced. My favorites though are the yellow curry dish and the grilled pork dish. Finish up with the homemade coconut ice cream and fresh mangos for the perfect meal.

I've been here two or three times. They do curry pretty well, but their pad see ew could be better. I went yesterday and got the lunch special which is $1.50 extra for a soup OR salad and a veggie egg roll. Not sure if an egg roll is a thai specialty ;) but okay. The egg drop soup and peanut salad were both good. Thai iced tea was delicious. My friend got a pad thai and his had great flavors. I think pad see ew is a difficult dish to do right and I would expect that if most other dishes were done well, they should be able to do this one. Hence, 3 stars (3.5 if it were possible).

I've never been to Thailand if the food is anything like Bann Thai, then count me in. The service is strange at times and you shouldn't be afraid to be there with only a few tables filled. If the secret gets out then there will never be available tables.

My husband and I tried Bann Thai this afternoon 12/27/14 for the first time. We drove down from Cheyenne to check this place out. The food was delicious and the service was great! A+++ Will definitely return to Bann Thai.

Pad Thai is always my favorite, big portion, nice flavor! Their veggie spring roll is yummy, too. I won't recommend their green curry though, the flavor was not the same every time I ordered it, and it's just OK. Overall, nice food and service.

Joined a large group here for a meal. There were 12 of is and service was great! The waitress did an excellent job. The pot stickers are great. The food was great. I dropped one star because my food was served Luke warm, not hot, and we ran out of water for a while. Will go back, this place now has special family memories attached.

When it comes to good ethnic food in Fort Collins, it's slim pickins. Every Mexican place we've tried in town is just okay, but both Thai places we've tried have been pretty darn good. And we're originally from San Francisco so we have some idea of what good thai food is like. This is the best of the two we've tried in Fort Collins. Prices were acceptable. The only downside is that the service was meh and the wait was too long for lunch. If you really want to enjoy your food, go for dinner. Parking is awful and scarce though. You'll do some walking if you go on a weekend.

My husband and I came here on recommendation of a friend. We had the tom yum chicken soup, fish cakes and chicken laab. These are some of my most favorite Thai dishes, and I was glad that they had fish cake on the menu since about half of Thai places don't offer these. With the exception of fish cakes, we asked for everything to be spicy. The fried fish cakes (tod mun) were by far the best of the three dishes we had. They were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The laab and tom yum were kind of bland despite our request for spicy. These could definitely use more flavor. Although the ingredients were fresh. Overall, I'd come back for the tod mun :)

Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants that I know of in town! Seems like my tried and true Thai places either don't offer dessert options here in town or have a slight problem with freshness issues. Not Bann Thai! I had a great noodle dish wish delicious veggies and had a great soy sauce all over the dish. So yummy! they also had a sticky rice pudding that was to die for! You can get sticky rice with mangos too which is kind of hard to find around town for this dessert. The staff was totally awesome, quick, prompt and friendly! They had great Thai beers that I haven't seen anywhere else so all in all a great experience! Yum!

I love this place! It's a sweet little Thai restaurant that has delicious food. Everything I've ordered there has been good. A couple favorites are the pad thai, green curry, and their chicken stir-fry. Last time we were there we had a really sweet waitress named Nush. They were short staffed that night but she handled all the tables really well. Her alone as the front-of-the-house was still able to wait our table perfectly. We complemented her at the end and she was so sweet and happy to hear that because she actually was going to apologize because she thought she was doing a bad job. Overall, this place is great. Amazing food, nice staff, and a quaint atmosphere.

Pretty dang good. My server was nice and attentive, even though as a solo diner, I obviously wasn't bringing in the big bill of the day. My pad thai was decent but my mango sticky rice? ooohhhhh my goodness, that was heaven in my mouth. Will definitely be going back if in FoCo and craving some Thai!

Fantastic yellow curry! YUM! Thai beer was a pretty good lighter beer. I must say I have to agree with the comment about not the greatest service. We showed up at 8pm and I think they closed at 9. We walked in and stood by the register waiting to be seated. It was kind of funny because the waiters and waitress seemed like they were trying not to make eye contact because they were swamped with people. Although we didn't wait long, it did make us feel like we were a bit of an inconvenience. They seemed like they were really stressed trying to keep up with tables and therefore not even asking how our food was. I was prepared to give him a compliment but he never asked! Haha over all the food was good but I give it a 4 star because of service.

I thought this place was good. It is a very intimate place with friendly staff. The food was one of the better Thai cuisine I have had in FoCo. They can cater to your spice level as well, which I always appreciate. Things are never spicy enough for me. This is a must stop by place for anyone wanting good food. You may be the only one sitting in this place but don't let that fool you. It just means a lot of people don't know about this place quite yet.

Super disappointed. Unfortunately this review isn't about their food, because we never got to eat any. My boyfriend and I went and asked to sit outside and the waiter made us feel like we were a great inconvenience. I've been looking for a good Thai place for a wile now and kept seeing this name on yelp. I tend to look at the menu of somewhere new before i go so i can walk in knowing what i want, unless they have some kind of special. One of the reasons I'd never tired bann thai before was they have no prices on there menu online, a little scary for the budget minded customer. One day i was craving Thai food so bad i decided to just take the plunge and worry about the money later. I'm a bit of a homebody so whenever i can order delivery i usually do. The food was super good. I usually get Pad Thai or a curry just because i honestly don't know that much about Thai cuisine, but i do know i those dishes. I've had the Pad Thai three times now and its been consistently great every time. The keyword that comes to mind for the dish is... fresh. Everything seems really fresh, which makes the dish delicious. I usually order it with heat level of 'hot' and find that the heat level and the seasoning is really great. We've also had the panang curry, which is delightful. Anything savory with coconut milk is okay by me. Its has a mild spicy kick to it and when poured over rice is so tasty. The chicken cooked into the panang is a little on the bland side, but with the curry it has enough flavor, it'd be nice though if they grilled the chicken then added it in, but that might make the dish "nontraditional". We've also picked up a few appetizers, the wontons with the sweet chili are awesome as well as the Koong Hom Pha. The Koong Hom Pha is like a fried shrimp dumpling. Its super good too. The main reason this place isn't 5 star rating would have to be the delivery charge. It's $4. I live less than a mile and a half away so it can't be a gas thing unless there delivering in a Ferrari. I usually like to tip $5 for delivery as i used to deliver pizzas, but with a $4 delivery fee you end up paying out $9 to get it to your house. Which to me, is a lot for somewhere i could walk to within 30 minutes. On the plus side the driver's have always been really nice and friendly.

I love me some pad thai. I usually order Cafe de bangkok for take out pad thai and its so scrumptious. My boyfriend and I tried out this place on a friday night and both ordered pad thai and it was really good. I hate to say this...but a little better than cafe de bangkok:( and thats saying a lot! I had the Fresh Rolls which were average only because of their sauce. Then I had the drunken noodles which smelled bad and tasted bad. The worst thing is that 3 hours after the meal and flossing, brushing my teeth and mouth wash I cannot get the taste out of my mouth. Can someone help me? I would change the name to Bad Thai

This was good, but nothing compared to cafe d'bankok. I am also pretty sure they charged for delivery, about $4, which I only found out about from another reviewer. And if you are a fairly decent person who tips, you are spending $9 for delivery. $42 for pad Thai, Tom yum soup, and pineapple curry? This is decent Thai for a Hugh price, hiding behind sugar and othe spices to mask the depth of flavor they are lacking. Glad I tried it, would go back if I had to, but wouldn't recommend it.

Wow - what a gem! I have eaten Thai food in NYC, Seattle, LA, San Fran....etc., and have never had better Thai anywhere in the country. Not a fancy place - but the servers are very friendly and knowledgable. My wife and I started with Tod Mun Pha (white fish cakes- mixed with green bean and chili paste, served with a spicy cucumber sauce). This was a new app for us, and we loved it! For our entrees - my wife had Salmon Chu Chee (spicy peanut sauce). This stir fry creation was amazing, as the sauce got better with every bite and the salmon tasted fresh and light. I choose the Green Curry Shrimp - hands down the best curry I have ever had the pleasure of trying! We both opted for the medium spicy selection and were very pleased with the choice. Amazing food!

Tasty, authentic Thai. Interesting menu. Good location. Cold beer. What more could you ask for? The Phad Suki noodles aren't something you see every day in Colorado. The papaya salad is outstanding. Everything is prepared with a light touch, seasoned well, and served in a nice atmosphere (this place isn't a dive). Now I'm hungry. Oh how I wish Bann Thai were in downtown Denver.

We went on a Sunday night and had a good dinner. We both had chicken pad thai, which was the best I'd had since leaving Austin. Reading other reviews, I didn't ask to add any spice, but I wish I had. Though my entree was still nicely flavorful and cooked perfectly, my husband's medium-spicy dish had the perfect amount of heat. The reason they didn't get five stars was because we started with shrimp fresh rolls. We asked for no cilantro, but when the waitress brought them, she said the kitchen forgot to exclude and suggested I pick it out of the roll. If you know a true cilantro-hater, you'll understand how gross that is! They didn't have a lot of flavor otherwise.

Last night was my first time ordering from Bann Thai. Their online menu has no prices which should have been a red flag. When the person taking my phone order told me the price for my order I almost choked. $28.73 for two items!. I thought these dishes must be very special. They weren't. I ordered garlic rib tips which is unusual and tofu chow fun. While the dishes were yummy I feel ripped off. I am from SF and tofu chow fun would be $7.50 max there. So the garlic rib tips were $17? Not worth it and frankly I won't be ordering from there again. Also the receipt I was given on my delivery bag had no prices on it. Huh? Why so secretive? Sorry, I can't like that.

A smallish place near downtown Fort Collins, I expected this to be less than it was, especially being situated between two tattoo parlors. The food was fantastic. We started with the fresh rolls, and to my delight, they were not only really fresh but delicious even without the sauces provided. The Pad Thai is among the best I have ever tasted (and I love Thai food!). Their Drunken Noodle was fresh and delicious, with enough sauce to give it a lot of flavor but not succumbing to what other thai places resort to when their food is not as good; drowning it in whatever sauce they have. There are a few other Thai places in Fort Collins, all certainly worth the trip, but Bahn Thai is by far, my favorite.

I was skeptical when I first noticed Bann Thai as I was driving by on College Ave ... does this town really need another Thai restaurant, particularly one that is walking distance from two others? Well, after two visits, count me as a fan ... a big fan. I might even have to declare this my favorite Thai restaurant in Fort Collins, though The Thai Pepper still wins on favorite Thai dish (the sweet potato noodles ... yum). As noted by other reviewers, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, a step-up from the cramped hole-in-the-wall atmosphere at the Pepper, but it's really the food that makes this place a winner. I'm an absolute noodle freak, and the two noodle dishes I've tried were fantastic. My first visit I had the Pad Suki, a bean-thread noodle dish with choice of meat (I had chicken), fish cakes, and lots of yummy veggies. I know, fish cakes sounds kinda sketchy, but they were tasty! My friend mistook them for scallops when she tasted them. My second visit I had the Drunken Noodles with pork ... to be honest I ordered it a little too hot ("hot but not Thai hot"), but even so it was quite good. I really appreciate that even with the heat the flavor of Thai basil really shone through. I had a chance to taste the green and red curries, too. The red was good, but the green was exceptional for its balance of flavors -- sweet, salty, hot, tangy ... truly a palate pleaser. Don't miss the mangoes & sticky rice for dessert, either.

The greatest Thai food ever! Definitely the best in FC. Pretty big portion so split the plate or be ready to take some home. Brought my five year old and there is a good kids menu. Overall a great experience and I'll definitely be going back!

Really great Thai food! Absolutely delicious. I went there with my wife and we ordered some Pad Thai and pineapple curry. Both were amazing. A couple words of warning though. The pineapple curry had a pepper sign indicating that it was spicy. Since my wife doesn't like spicy food and we wanted to share a bit I asked if they could make it mild. Now I enjoy spicy food but I tell you what the mild had a pretty good kick to it. I wasn't sweating but my mouth woke right up and said, "how ya doin'!" They offer their curry in mild, medium hot and I don't know really dang hot or something like that. When things say they are spicy hot and offer warnings, well to a guy that's like a challenge to our manhood and so it's tempting to say, bring it. Guys - don't fall for it. Just walk away. The mild is good and spicy and anything more is just foolishness. So my second word of caution is the pad thai - they must use like a whole clove of garlic in there. Delicious but that taste was still there in the morning and the leftovers have embarked on a hostile takeover of our fridge and the whole fridge smells like garlic. It's a small price to pay for a delicious evening though.

Valentine's Dinner with my crew was a total hit. I love introducing new food experiences to people, so my friends let me order. Even so, I still didn't order my favorite Garlic Rib Tips, (really, this is the stuff dreams are made of) --next time. Instead I made their virgin voyage to Thai treats with Tom Kha Soup (coconut chicken soup w/ lemongrass), we shared just a bowl, enough for all 3 of us to get a generous tasting--- Tasty, tangy, and perfect. We also had Panang Curry with Pork. They both loved this dish too. I was not disappointed, and was actually surprised by the success of pork. I would have opted for chicken or tofu. But sometimes you gotta please da people. For something more unusual we had Phad Suki-- Bean Threads Stir-Fried With Egg, Napa Cabbage, Celery, Carrots, Chicken and Fishballs In Spicy Peanut Sauce. My virgin pals liked this dish, but not quite as much as the Panang Curry. They didn't even ask me about the fish balls, and I soooo wanted to make some crass joke about fish balls. :-( We finished off the bottle of wine, offered that night for 1/2 price ($11) and had homemade coconut ice milk for dessert, fried banana, and mango and sweet sticky rice. The sweet sticky rice has just the right amount of salt to enhance the sweet, this is key. It was all good, especially the homemade coconut ice cream. I was so very tempted to take advantage of the buy one get one 50% off pint but didn't since I was flyin' off to Mexico in the mornin' for some really good Indonesian food. (I'll save that story for another time)

Absolutely the best Thai food in Fort Collins. I recently tried Bangkok Kitchen and enjoyed it, but nothing can tear me away from the best. Bann Thai is one of those restaurants where you can't go wrong no matter what you order. I've had the pad thai, drunken noodles and green curry and they have all been delicious. I found the hot spiciness to be just right, but my less-manly friends told me that the medium was a bit on the spicy side. Consider getting the mild if you can't handle it - and consider getting the "super hot" if you need more hair on your chest! What caught me by surprise was how good their egg drop soup is - fantastic! Better than most of the Chinese places in town. It's a thin soup seasoned well, not the gelatinous muck that sometimes gets passed off as egg drop soup. The spring rolls are pretty standard but have a nice crispiness to them. Fort Collins has quite a few Thai places - Toy's, Sri Thai, Bangkok Kitchen, Thai Pepper - but Bann Thai takes the cake over all of them. Highly recommended.

The food was only alright, but the fact that they added 5 dollars to my credit card statement over the cash tip I had already given was NOT alright. Stealing money is generally considered poor business practice. I haven't had a chance to call them yet and see how they handle it...if they handle it well, maybe I'll change my rating. But the point is I shouldn't HAVE to call. I shouldn't have money stolen from me in the first place.

Very yummy! We ordered tofu phad thai and shrimp fried rice and both were delicious. I'm a bit of a pad thai snob, and Bann Thai's is a bit different from what I've had before but really, really great. And the tofu was very great in terms of flavor and texture, something a lot of Thai places don't do so well with. And loved the shrimp and the veggies in the fried rice -- the veggies were perfectly cooked!

We've been to Bann Thai several times and it's always good. I like the curries, particularly the Pineapple Curry mild with chicken. The dumpling appetizers are a delicious way to start. The portions are good, I usually have extras for lunch the next day. Overall one of the best Thai places in town.

My friend and I were the first people to arrive for dinner service, starting at 5pm. Sitting in a richly decorated small, red dinning room, I was a bit apprehensive noticing that we were the only people there on a Friday night. To me, that was not good news. An empty restaurant is the sure sign of a failing restaurant. However, our timing was only perfect, because as we were eating the placed became packed with people waiting for tables. Dinner at Bann Thai was decent - very friendly and quick service with adequate food. It's worth going back again knowing that everything can be spiced more than what I had that night. If I had just a bit more excitement to my meal, it would have been great, not just decent. Fort Collins also really needs the type of variety that Bann Thai offers. Variety is the spice of life, right?

I will definitely eat here again when I visit Fort Collins. The chicken satay was excellent, as well as the yellow curry and stir-fry veggies. They serve Chang beer which is an excellent Northern Thai original. Park on the side street about a block from the restaurant.

Just moved to the fort Collins area from a much larger city with many great Thai restaurants and was disappointed when I tried the yelp 5 star Thai restaurant first which tasted like burnt green beans. Tonight we tried the second best, Bann Thai, and I am so happy that I found a fantastic Thai Restaurant. When we first sat down we ordered appetizers and drinks...we instantly heard something cooking in the kitchen (our appetizer) and the server started to make fresh Mai Thais, not from the bottle. They had an interesting take on the Tom Khai coconut soup, which in the past I have always had with with curry, this was very coconutty, with a strong sense of fish sauce, which although I am not a "fish" fan, was actually incredible! The entrees were hot, made fresh and full of flavor, no burnt green bean taste here, and the appetizer, the spring rolls were also awesome! I like hot food, but sometimes certain ethnic foods are more spicy than others, word to the wise, if you can't take hot, order mild. My medium was amazing, but on the hot side!

This is the best Thai food in FC hands down. It's pretty close to the real deal - every time I eat here it makes me want to go back to Thailand. I get flashbacks to my heaven-on-earth vacation... The service is friendly and fast, the place is cheap. I have never had anything that I do not like. Curries, noodles, soups: all spectacular. The larb gai is to die for. AND OH. The mango sticky rice. Hallelujah. I had a mini orgasm in my mouth. The spice is just enough (medium is good if you're comfortable with spice) and they have condiments you can add to your own plate if you like things crazy hot (like my bf). Ok. I need to stop. I'm wanting to leave work right this second and scarf down some yummy Thai food.

Fantastic and fresh food. Staff was helpful and friendly. I agree that the medium spicy is pretty spicy, I don't mind but others may. Go to their website for coupons. We checked in using Yelp and got free glass of wine. Not much by way of decor and ambiance, but that's not why we go.

I'm a major foodie and just moved here from LA where I was spoiled with amazing Thai food. I was definitely thinking that it would be hard to find Thai food of the same caliber I found back home, but I was definitely wrong. Bann Thai serves up seriously delicious and legit Thai food, easily as good as my favorite spots in LA. The curries are all amazing, spring rolls are perfectly cooked, and the mango with sticky rice is delicious. Another plus is that the beer selection is pretty extensive (good selection of local brews) for a Thai spot and there are various beer specials every night of the week. This place is so good I do not feel the need to explore any other Thai places in the area, this is my go-to spot for Thai in FTC.

Sure enough, we went back, again, and again. We lucked out, and missed the really crowded times. It's a popular place, and can get pretty crowded. Yeah, well, there's a reason that it gets crowded. The Panang Curry was always a good choice, as was the garlic chicken--unless you have an important meeting right after. The garlic is strong, and delicious. I was also quite pleased with the Pad Thai. The lunch special with the soup and egg roll is a good choice. The wait staff are friendly, especially when they're not slammed.

I'm glad to see a Thai restaurant in old town, but his place has its pluses and minuses. On the positive side, the soups are outstanding. I like how they add the veggies near the end, so they come out a bit more crisp, and not wilted by the soup broth. On the negative side, service was a bit slow. Less of an issue at dinner, but I was there for lunch, and saw this as a problem. Panang Curry was so-so, not very flavorful. Finally, I concur with other review, pricey for what you can get, and other alternatives are about as good or maybe even better within that price range. Still, I would go back, esp. if I were only somewhat hungry and looking for a bowl of excellent soup.

Best Thai food in Colorado that I've tasted. Expanding into Front Range Village in 2013. Mae and her sister are very friendly, wonderful people. The food is amazing. Our favorites are the Chicken Satay; Massaman Curry, Panang Curry and Pineapple Fried Rice. As great as the food is at Bann Thai, the people are even better.

Not the absolute best Thai in my opinion, but pretty darn solid especially considering they are in FC. The place is well decorated and pretty, and they serve local Odell beer. We started with the peanut salad and veggie summer rolls (the non-fried ones). The peanut salad was the highlight of the meal, as the dressing was made in house - a sweet peanut dressing, I suspect a mix or peanut and some type of cane sugar syrup. Very good and special. The veggie rolls were good, but the sauce was a bit hot and too spicy for some folks in our party. We had a sweet and sour chicken dish, pad see-u and pad thai. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty standard, probably the wrong thing to order here. The pad see-u and pad thai were both pretty standard and not especially exciting, but they were both good. A solid choice in FC.

By far the best Thai food experience in Colorado. I'm a big fan of good Thai food and I'm always thrilled to visit Bann Thai. Their service is impeccable, but more importantly the food is to die for. I usually order curry because it is amazingly delicious, spicy, rich, and filled with delicious vegetables. It washes down perfectly with a cold beer or a perfectly concocted Thai iced tea. Do not skimp on dessert, because the homemade coconut ice cream (dairy free!) sprinkled with toasted coconut shavings is amazing. If you can't fit it in after your curry feast, take a half pint home to eat later.

Had a bad experience with the food here, especially the pot stickers, it was dried and had less flavor. The phad thai in the other hand was a bit salty, compared to all the other thai restaurants i've eaten at, this is probably the worse.

I decided to give this place another shot, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to leave it at 2 stars. Alex P. is correct. This place is a little over-priced. I came here for lunch and it was $7.99 for a lunch option (pad thai, in my case) with a little spring roll and little bowl of soup. Now if the food blew me away or hit the spot, I wouldn't be complaining, but that's not the case here. I can find equivalent tasting lunch deals for 2 bucks less. The pad thai was okay. The noodles seemed overly sauced (and on the wide side but that doesn't matter to me as much). That seems to be a running theme here with my prior review of the drunken noodles. The flavor was just flat out salty. No subtlety at all. I ordered the pad thai with chicken and it came with like four bite-size pieces. That's awfully generous... The spring roll was okay, but I wasn't a fan of the soup. The soup of the day was egg drop, and the saltiness was so overpowering I couldn't taste the egg. All I have to say is, the 5 star reviews are seriously misguided.

Bann Thai is my new favorite Thai restaurant in Fort Collins. My partner and I were initially skeptical, as we already had our favorite Thai restaurant, located just around the corner. However, a colleague who had lived in Thailand recommend Bann Thai as the best and most authentic in Fort Collins, so we cheerfully gave it a go and, now, we certainly won't be giving it up! We have since been several times, and it never disappoints. I believe it costs a little bit less than the "other" Thai restaurant nearby, and yet, the portions are generous. We always end up taking home leftovers. I should mention that we have, so far, only tried noodle and stir-fry dishes, all wonderful. We haven't tried the curry dishes yet but those are next up on our list. Finally, the service is fantastic, and the mood of the place is relaxed and intimate. Mmmn. I'm getting hungry. My favorite dish: Cashew Nut Chicken (medium spicy) My partner's favorite: Phad Wun Sen (with or without heat) Another favorite: Drunken Noodles

Drunken noodles were very well done. Could have used a touch of salt, but that's being a little picky. Very slow when I went and service was fine. No problems there. Beer and wine selection is a little sparse but I imagine that is typical for most Thai places. Black sticky rice and Thai custard was good. However the custard was anything but silky smooth. Very grainy in fact. I don't know if this is normal for Thai custard, but it still tasted good. Likely to return and try different dishes.

Love it...not much to say other than great, simple thai food. Still haven't found any thai restaurants as good as Jay's Noodles on Federal in Denver...but this is a LOT closer and still very good. Green Curry, Yellow Curry, Mussaman curry, Thai dumplings, pad thai and pad prihk king have all been great here. Wait staff is quick and attentive. Definitely one of our go-to's in Fort Collins.

Overall I ended up giving 4-stars, but the only thing that pushed it past 3-stars was the service. On the good side: 1. Cream Cheese Won-Ton's were the best I've ever had - clearly made in-house. Nice skin texture, nice taste, not too greasy. 2. Thai Custard was delicious - my wife commented that it was the best that she has had. 3. Friends liked their Drunken Noodles and Panang Curry. The Bad 1. My wife thought the Panang Curry was lacking flavor and too runny 2. I was unimpressed with the Garlic Rib Tips - they lacked flavor. Had to ask for the sweet chili sauce to dunk them in. Overall I'd try it again, but it is a 3-star experience with excellent service.

Oh My Goodness! This place has everything I could ever possibly want. The place is really cool inside, I love the warm colors and neat accents they have. They could come decorate my house like that. Really! Tidy, clean and cozy comfortable. Then the FOOD!! It was fabulous! I tried 3 things because my friend and I switched curries 1/2 way through (well, honestly I tried to leave her 1/2 of mine, but she nearly missed the boat on that one). And also I tried the kids meal that my kids split. Yes a KIDS MEAL!! In a Thai place. And not only was their dish so freakin good I could have eaten a whole plate of it but the kids liked it too!!! It was egg noodles with garlic and tofu and I kid you not, a 3 year old and a 1 year old nearly ate it all. My normal routine is to get appetizers, hope the kids eat some of it, try to give them some of mine (so I sacrifice some of the heat) and then usually end up feeding them after dinner anyway. Service was great, the spice on the food was just right, the prices were right on... hmmm, I don't even know what else to say!! I almost wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. I do know for sure next time I am in Ft. Collins I will have to go back.

After hearing about Bann from several places, I decided to give it a shot. And I give it a Meh. Like Bill E. I, too had the Panang. I stand by his review. Blah. My dining companion had Phad Ka Praow, which he raved over. He also had ordered it Super Hot, so it came with a little crock with a thai pepper fish sauce. The smell would light small fires. He was Very Happy, but I wasn't up to trying fire eating so I passed. The service was average until my friend began to chat with the waitress about the sauce, and you'd think they were old friends. I don't think I'll go back, with other thai options in town, but if you like heat, perhaps this is the place to go. I would have given a 2, but the second opinion at the table was a 4 so I'll split the difference.

I started eating Thai food in Seattle and have been searching for a place as good as the experiences I had there or better for a long time. I had high hopes for Bann Thai because the owners were from Thailand but maybe my hopes were too high. This place's decor is dimly lit, cozy and some what romantic but is small square footage wise. The food to me was "heavy". By heavy I mean it felt like a McDonald's burger compared to a Red Robbin burger. The food was no where near as greasy as a MCD's burger but heavy compare to most Thai dishes I have had in the past. When I eat Thai I am typically looking for something spicy w/ a balance of sweet and salty and very very fresh tasting. Thai to me is soul food. Not soul food in the sense of traditional cuisine of Black Americans of the Southern United States but food that when eaten you hear your soul whisper in your ear, "thank you". Bann Thai did not give me that experience but Thai Kitchen on main st. in Longmont, CO does.

Mixed reviews. Egg drop soup mediocre. Cream cheese wontons junk, I hate frozen refry wontons, nasty, and their dipping sauce mcdonalds inspired, yuck. Chicken pad Thai is their only saving grace. They do a nice job with this dish, good spice. Service is always friendly. Prices are fair. If you are in the mood for a classic Thai dish in foco, this is the place.

Having relocated to the Ft. Collins area from So Cal earlier in the year, we were anxious to find a good thai restaurant in the Ft. Collins/Loveland area. Having now been to Bann Thai three times over the past 6-7 weeks, I can say we are now true fans. The Panang Curry and the Phad Kow (sp?) are two of their best dishes and can be spiced up or down to taste. Our experiences here with both the food and the service have been good. Cannot speak to other thai places in the area but we are not honestly looking to find another thai location given our recent experiences here.

I really love Bann Thai. My husband and I spend six weeks travelling in Thailand where we obviously were spoiled rotten on amazing Thai food. My favorite dish is Som Tum Thai (Spicy Papaya salad). It is hard to find here in the states, but Bann Thai always has it on their menu and it is authentic and delicious!!! You can ask to make it as spicy or non spicy as you like. We like it hot! Their curries are delicious as well. Especially the pineapple curry with shrimp (we fell in love with this dish on our anniversary). I literally want to lick the bowl. It is that good! I have had their pad thai, which was average. I didn't feel that it lived up to the rest of the dishes I have had here. I am still looking for a good, authentic pad thai in FC. All in all we love this place and we will be going there tonight!!

I went here based on recommendations from Yelp. Maybe I like my local Thai place too much, but I wasn't impressed. Any Thai place that doesn't ask how hot you want your food is suspect to me. The service was fine, but the meal didn't impress (fried Pad Thai with a spring role).

My absolute favorite Thai place ever! Not just in Fort Collins but I grew up in Denver, my best friend was from Thailand and I have never had better food! Good pricing for thai food! The panang curry was fabulous! The chicken fried rice was unspeakably delicious. And lets talk about the dessert...heaven! The sticky sweet rice with fresh mango. The rice was in the shape of a heart for my fiance and I. It had a little twist with some sesame seeds on top. Made it incredible. Service was spectacular! It will be a regular dining experience for us and I highly reccommend!

BEST THAI FOOD IN FORT COLLINS!!!! I love you Bann Thai! I didn't even know you were here! We were just driving down College Saturday night when I suddenly hit my husband on the arm and shouted BANN THAI! I had prayed for good Thai food to come to Fort Collins - seriously, I would plead, "Universe, if it is in the best interest of all those involved please let there be really super good Thai food in Fort Collins." And now there is Bann Thai. My husband and I just got back from one of the most satisfying dinners ever! We started with the Vegetarian Spring Rolls. Then we had the Dynamic Duo - other wise known as Green Curry with Tofu and Panang Curry with Tofu (these dishes are favorites, we get both and share). Both dishes were excellent - perfect really. Bann Thai has found the balance - I have said it before I know but Thai food is all about balance. Thai food is a special blend and it takes skill to make - there has to be that balance between spicy and sweet and salty and sour and Bann Thai has found it. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Oh and the tofu in both the curries was steamed not fried - sooo much better than fried! I had a perfectly made Thai Iced Tea too - seriously folks, it was perfect! The right amount of tea and spice and sweet and cream and oh, I can't even take it! YUM! We finished the extravaganza with homemade Coconut Ice Cream! Sweet lord this is the perfect dessert! The ambiance is really nice, cozy, and comfortable, dark red paint, heavy wood furniture, really good lighting and the service was very friendly and attentive. Are you noticing a theme here? Oh yeah, that it is PERFECT! We already plan to visit Bann Thai on at least a weekly basis!

So I was soooo skeptical of good thai food in FoCo. I read the recommendations above and had to disprove them myself. Well I tried and I cannot. The Tom Yun Goong was great, the Panang curry was spicy and smooth and my favorite the Pad Kra Pow was delicious. If you like thai food go here...

We've lived in Thailand for 3 years and Bann Thai's cuisine is as authentic as it gets. We love good Thai food and theirs is absolutely the best. We were so excited when we found this wonderful restaurant right in the middle of Fort Collins. Walking in was like being transported back to Thailand. The decoration, the entire relaxing atmosphere is simply great. And being able to practice our little bit of Thai with May, who served us and her sisters, Da and Nuch, who came out to meet us was exciting, too. We can recommend this place wholeheartely for a special experience.
